During his career in the sports media, Brian Magloyoan has gained valuable experiences that have helped develop his versatile and unique skill set. 

 

In May of 2022, was named Assistant Director of Athletics for Creative Media and Marketing at St. Mary's University (Texas), returning to his alma mater and the place where he began his career.

In his previous five years at StMU, he proudly served as the Sports Information Assistant/Marketing Coordinator from 2015-2018 after spending two years as a student-intern.
 
During that time he was a commentator for over 100 live sports broadcasts annually, served as part-time PA announcer at soccer, baseball and softball games, acted as host and project manager for the annual athletics banquet and revived the monthly web series, Talkin’ Rattlers, as the show’s host and producer.

In November of 2018, he was named the Assistant Director of Athletics for Communications at Texas Woman's University — an NCAA Division II and Lone Star Conference institution.

Brian has also covered several high-profile events, including the 2015 Division II Women’s College World Series, numerous NCAA Regional Tournaments and the 2018 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Final Four. 

 

In May 2015, after studying for four years, he received his Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communications from St. Mary’s. 

 

A New Jersey native, Brian grew up in the shadows of sports-crazed New York City. It was there, as a child, he developed a love for sports, playing organized basketball and earning his black belt in Tae Kwon Do. At the age of 11, Magloyoan and his family moved to Houston. A graduate of Stephen F. Austin High School, he wrote for the school’s newspaper and was a member of the lunchtime news broadcast.
